A micro-insurance licence authorises "micro insurance business only" (Insurance Act, 2017, s.35). Most of Turaco's covers are sold through partners: its website presents customers of ASA and VisionFund Uganda who used hospital cash cover, and insurance embedded in Airtel Money in Uganda.

- Find the cover's details from the partner that sold it (lender, mobile money, phone seller) and your policy or account number.

- Send the documents Turaco asks for and keep a copy.
- If the claim is refused or delayed, write to Turaco, then complain to IRA's Complaints Bureau.
